7 Days Until Election Day

This is it, folks: We’re officially just seven days away from Election Day.

That’s seven days until arguably the biggest midterm elections of our lifetimes.

Seven days until we see whether we elect a new Congress to hold Trump and his goons accountable or allow two more years of corruption and chaos.

Seven days to get our message out to voters across North Texas so that they make it to the polls to vote — for Democrats up and down the ballot.

The reality is that control of the United States House of Representatives will come down to a handful of seats across the nation.

Texans are already voting across our community, and our window to reach undecided voters and ensure infrequent voters have a plan is closing fast.

I’m running for Congress because this community isn’t just a district on a map to me. I was raised right here by my single mom who was a public school teacher. It’s where community mentors at the local YMCA supported me as a kid. It’s where I was proud to return after my time playing linebacker in the NFL and serving as a voting rights attorney in the Obama administration. And it’s where my wife Aly and I are raising our two boys today.

My journey wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for this community that invested in me. And you can bet I’m going to fight like hell for it in Washington.

But I don’t take a single dime from corporate PACs or special interest groups. The movement we’ve built — and our Get-Out-The-Vote effort across North Texas — is powered entirely by everyday folks like you.
