Early Voting Started This Morning in Texas!

Folks, early voting in Texas officially started this morning, marking one of the most important moments of our entire campaign.

The next two weeks will decide the future of Texas’ 33rd Congressional District – and control of the House.

As a former civil rights and voting rights attorney, I’ve spent my career on the front lines fighting back against voter suppression. I’ve seen firsthand how politicians in Texas and Washington use every trick in the book to try and make it harder for working families, seniors, and young people to cast their ballots: from closing polling locations to passing anti-voter laws.

Here in North Texas, the GOP intentionally drew racially gerrymandered districts to dilute the power of Black and Latino communities, insulate themselves from accountability, and keep everyday Texans from having a voice.

They drew these lines because they fear what happens when our communities show up. In a democracy, our vote is our power – and right now is when we make our voices heard.

The Clock Is Ticking Toward the Oct. 30th Deadline

Early voting runs from today through Friday, October 30th.

Over these next 12 days, our campaign needs to run a massive, relentless Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) operation across TX-33. We have organizers on the ground, volunteer canvassers knocking on doors, phone banks running daily, and ride-to-the-polls programs ready to make sure every single voter can safely and easily cast their ballot.

But running an aggressive GOTV program like this requires a substantial amount of resources:

• Text and Phone Banks – Reaching tens of thousands of voters with polling location details and hours to ensure people have the information they need to exercise their fundamental right to vote.

• Block Walks – Meeting folks where they are by knocking on doors and getting them registered to vote.

• Virtual Rallies – Helping folks learn more about the candidates running in their elections and speak to the issues that matter most to them.

Now Is The Time To Stand With Us
